Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellets is a daily diet for bottom feeding carnivorous fish such as catfish, sharks, Polypterus (bichirs), eels and stingrays.
- Specially developed for bottom feeding carnivorous fish offering a nutrient mix comparable to live foods without the parasites or bacteria they normally contain.
- Developed after extensive study and analysis of the sense of sight, smell and taste of numerous carnivorous fish. Inclusion of key ingredients like DL-methionine and L-lysine allowed us to produce a food most bottom feeding carnivores devour readily.
- New advances in bio-technology helped us identify the highest grade of colour enhancing ingredients available today which support colour retention in UV deficient environments. Your fish will look their best year round!
- The highly digestible nutrient mix helps reduce waste and aquarium clouding** common with other sinking foods.
- Rapidly becomes soft by absorbing water yet retains its shape.*

It's a known fact that carnivorous fish prefer live foods. However, most hobbyists know live food is not the best food for their home aquarium due to disease, parasites and bacteria.
Hikari's extensive research has allowed us to produce a completely nutritious diet for carnivorous fish with palatability and an acceptance rate equivalent to live food.
Hikari Tropical Sinking Carnivore Pellets and Hikari Tropical Food Sticks are porous pellets, that retain their shape. When fed these pellets become elastic with a hardness that closely resembles live food.
For those hard to convert carnivores, Hikari has an answer!
