About us

Hello! We're Blair and Julie, and this is Highland Fishkeeping. We fell in love with fishkeeping after we had adopted 3 fish due to the owner not being able to care for them any more. We saw the sorry state they were in, and nursed all 3 back to excellent health. Our original tank has now turned into 5 fish tanks, and a brand new adventure for us!

We at Highland Fishkeeping have the health of our underwater friends at the top of our priority list. We have learned over the course of keeping tropical and freshwater fish, that keeping an aquarium is extremely relaxing, fun and rewarding. Our aim with Highland Fishkeeping is to provide the magic of sculpting an entire world in our own home. With our own personal knowledge and with the open minds of everyone here at Highland Fishkeeping, we can help guide you create an aqascape that will keep your fish (or shrimp, or snails!) happy, and help you create something entirely unique and wonderful in your home.

Our goal is to continually expand and spread knowledge and provide access to a more organic way of fishkeeping.
