This is called a mutation, and Lobelia cardinalis ‘Mini’ is a good example of this. Lobelia cardinalis ‘Mini’ has thus originated from the general production of Lobelia cardinalis. It is characterized by its beautiful light green leaves which are closer together than on the original Lobelia, and then it is also significantly smaller, hence the addition ‘Mini’ to the name of the plant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe growth is low and dense, as the plant branches willingly, even without trimming. In addition, the mini version rarely forms the long vertical shoots which otherwise characterize Lobelia cardinalis.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is easily propagated by planting the cut shoots down into the bottom layer.
